Art > Handmade Poly-Clay Jizo Statues
These Jizo Statues are handmade, one by one, so no two are ever exactly alike. Modelled after various likenesses of the Bodhisattva Jizo, these statues are made out of oven baked poly-clay, washed in a shimmery pearl-ex pigment, hand painted using india ink to detail each one. Faces are created so that when turned one way, they seem to be smiling, and when turned the other way, they seem to be quietly meditating.
Poly-clay is sturdy material and I've even dropped my own little Jizo from a kitchen counter onto a hardwood floor, and he did not break or nic at all! Small enough to be carried in a pocket as has been reported by many of our buyers who carry them that way with them all the time as part of a meditation practice. They are also beautiful additions to any ofrenda, altar, or meditation shelf.
NOTE: We are currently shipping these ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. and for those in the U.S., the shipping is free. Anyone who orders with address outside the U.S. will be refunded as we cannot ship to you!
